Michael Law is a public affairs campaign strategist, crisis management counselor and seasoned corporate communicator. He has more than 25 years’ experience counseling governments, public and private companies, non-profit organizations and trade associations, particularly in times of complex regulatory challenges, organizational change or crisis.

Michael launched IBEX Partners, LLC, in 2018 to capitalize on the growing demand for top talent for complex U.S. and international public affairs challenges. Before starting IBEX Partners, Michael founded and launched Summit Strategy Group, a California-based corporate and crisis communications firm. Michael served as U.S. President and CEO at Burson-Marsteller from 2013-2016. Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, he spent nine years at the helm of Ogilvy Public Relations’ West Coast operations. Michael also held senior executive roles at Ogilvy in Southeast Asia, China and Washington, D.C.

Much of Michael’s career has been focused on helping clients anticipate, prepare for and successfully manage issues or crises that have the potential to disrupt business.  Michael has specific experience working within highly regulated industries including oil & gas, chemicals, public utilities, pulp & paper, mining and the automotive sector. He also has significant experience helping business and industry understand and navigate the rapidly evolving cyber security and data privacy landscape.  

   

As a senior executive in the professional services sector, Michael has built and led multi-disciplinary teams of employees in the United States, Europe, Latin America and across North and South Asia.

 

Michael was born and raised in Scotland and is an Eagle Scout and avid outdoorsman. He is married with three daughters.
